We facilitated simultaneous English & Spanish interpretation at the final public hearing convened by the Uruguayan Ministry of the Environment, where the UK company “Searcher Geodata” and the US company “APA Exploration LDC” presented their projects for authorization to exploit hydrocarbons in Uruguayan marine basins.
The Preliminary Environmental Authorization Applications submitted by Searcher Geodata UK Limited and APA Exploration LDC – Uruguay Branch pertain to their three-dimensional offshore seismic prospecting projects in blocks OFF-1, OFF-2, and OFF-4 to OFF-7, located in the Exclusive Economic Zone.
Today, Ancap (the national oil company) has signed hydrocarbon exploration and production contracts with international oil companies in seven areas of the continental shelf. This is the first time that all offshore areas have valid contracts.

Hoy Ancap (empresa estatal de petróleo y combustibles de Uruguay) tiene firmados contratos de exploración y producción de hidrocarburos con petroleras internacionales en siete áreas de la plataforma continental. Es la primera vez que todas las áreas del offshore cuentan con contratos vigentes.
